Jackson County Beekeepers invite you on a virtual visit on the club website.  The Beekeepers encourage anyone with an interest in honeybees to attend a meeting in the McDonald Building at the Jackson County (WV) Fairgrounds.

Lisa Smolder's first grade class at Ripley Elementary School with Anderson Phillips, and other first graders who learned about beekeeping from Anderson's grandmother, Zelma Boggess. Lisa Smolder is the wife of retired Jackson County extension agent, Ed Smolder. Lisa has always promoted honey bees in her classes.

June 11, 2013 Meeting

The Jackson County Beekeepers February meeting will be Tuesday, June 11, 2013 in the MacDonald Building at the Jackson County Fairgrounds. The meeting is from 6:00 - 8:00 pm. The program will be: " Diseases: Foulbrood Detection" along with Honey Extraction and Handling Wax Cappings. Join us for an informative and fun evening!
